Starting the process:
- Call 1-800-935-4237 toll free to speak with an Adoption Centre social worker.
- Or, if you prefer to continue to research before contacting us, you may find answers to some of your initial questions on the Ministry for Child and Family Development website.
If, after your research you want to continue to explore adoption:
- Our social worker that lives nearest you will contact you to arrange an initial visit.
- The goal of the first visit is simply to present adoption information to help you determine whether or not it is an avenue that you want to seriously consider.
- We encourage you to voice any concerns or doubts you have about placing your child and you can change your mind at any point - there is no pressure to place your child just because you're started planning.
