The Adoption Centre is a program of Kelowna Community Resources, a non-profit
registered society, that receives no direct government funding. We must rely on the service fees as outlined in order to honour the full range of responsibilities included in BC's adoption legislation.
As with any significant financial commitment, many people have questions they want answered before they start the process. We encourage you to arrange to meet with us or if you live a significant distance away, call us toll free to make sure you are satisfied with your decision before you proceed.
*Although adoption agencies in BC are required to collect fees to cover the cost of providing services, the Ministry For Child and Family Development (MCFD) is funded by the government. For more information on adoption through MCFD, please visit their website.
